U-High was well represented at the 2012 Bloomington/Normal Junior City Golf Tournament at Ironwood Golf Course on July 23-24.
Leading after the 1st round, senior Adam Baracani finished 2nd in the boys 16-18 division with a 72-73 - 145. Senior Cole Sondgeroth carded 6 birdies on his Day 2 round to finish in 3rd with a 76-73 - 149. Juniors Nolan Harris (73-77 - 150) and Evan Sloneker (83-84 - 167) also participated, giving the U-High "team" a 2-day total of 304-307 - 611. Sophomore Mason Galvan carded a 89-85 - 174 while competing in the 13-15 division.
On the girls side, junior Erin Sondgeroth posted a 100-93 - 193 to post a 17-stroke victory and claim the title.

Special at The Links @ Ireland Grove
The Links at Ireland Grove is offering to great specials for local high school golfers ...
- $5 for a 9-hole round of golf
- $5 for a large bucket of balls at the range
In either case, the player is then allowed to work in the "private" short game area located south of El Toro Restaurant.
Just check in at the front desk and tell them that you are on the U-High Boys Golf team. I gave them a list of all boys interested in playing at U-High next year. If you have any questions, have them call me @ 309-530-2297. Additionally, if you know of any incoming freshman who might want to take advantage of this offer, have them contact me at this e-mail and I will get their name added to the list.
