Coaches
Attached is a link to the entry for the Bloomington-Normal Junior City
to be played August 4-5. Please share with your teams and encourage
participation.
New for
this year is a Pre-Season Team Championship. In addition to the
individual city junior champions we will crown one team champion. We will
count the best four scores from each school.
I spoke with the IHSA and as long as it is an informal
competition and everyone understands coaches may not coach – the event is all
good. The dates of the tournament (Aug 4-5) fall outside of the permissible
contact dates so coaching is not permitted. We will present one “bragging
rights” trophy to the winning team.
I have been considering ways to increase participation and I
am hoping by having a pre-season team element it might be helpful.
I am including coaches that are in neighboring communities
as well. Juniors are eligible to play if they have a pass to a BN golf
course or if one of their parents is employed in Bloomington-Normal.
